FireDos Middle East: First Live Demo Day – Foam Firefighting in Action

Abu Dhabi – A strong start for our FireDos Middle East team: Recently, around 50 invited guests gathered at the JAHEZIYA training facility in Musaffah for the first FireDos Live Demo Day in the region. Under the theme “Firefighting with foam – Safe, Sustainable, and Effective”, the event focused on practical firefighting with fluorine-free foam concentrate and cutting-edge FireDos extinguishing technology.

Foam extinguishing systems are essential for protecting tank farms and liquid fuel facilities in the oil and gas industry — a key focus sector for the FireDos Middle East team. Fires in this field are typically classified as Class B, involving flammable liquids. Here, foam is widely regarded as the most effective extinguishing agent, making it indispensable for fighting tank farm fires and ensuring operational safety in high-risk industrial environments.

In action on site: a FireDos pick-up truck, specially equipped with the remote-controlled M2 fire monitor and an FD2000 proportioning system featuring remote monitoring capabilities. These systems demonstrated their precision and reliability during three impressive live scenarios:

• a vehicle fire,
• a pan fire,
• and a Helipad fire scenario.

Attendees witnessed how quickly and efficiently the FireDos extinguishing technology handled various fire situations — all using fluorine-free foam, underscoring a commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising on performance.

Among the visitors were integration partners and consulting engineers from across the region, as well as our distributor partners Fotleia – in partnership with Perimeter Solutions, who provided the foam concentrate for testing – and Haven Fire and Safety. 

The morning began with a relaxed networking breakfast and a welcome presentation by Stuart (Regional Director Middle East, Africa, SE Asia, Oceania), who introduced FireDos and its foam-based firefighting technology. This was followed by live outdoor demonstrations on the training ground, giving guests the chance to witness the systems in action. Attendees took the opportunity to ask questions, to exchange ideas on firefighting strategies, and to gain deeper insights into FireDos foam proportioning technology and fire monitors. 

The event was expertly planned and hosted by the FireDos Middle East team—Stuart, Anoop, and Jason—who energized the day by guiding guests through the program and sharing detailed technical insights throughout the morning.

It was great to finally prove what our foam proportioning systems and monitors can do in real fire scenarios – and to do so alongside such a passionate and engaged group of fire professionals from the region,

The atmosphere was truly electric, with attendees fully “on fire” about the impressive live demonstrations and the hands-on exchanges with our technical experts on site.

The FireDos Middle East team clearly demonstrated their readiness to support the region with tailored, sustainable, and high-performance firefighting solutions. 

Building on this success, plans for a follow-up demo day are already underway.
